A Revitalized 1920s Kitchen in Manchester, CT
One of our favorite recent projects was breathing new life into the kitchen of a beautiful 1920s home in Manchester, Connecticut. The homeowners wanted to honor the character of the century-old home while bringing the kitchen fully into the modern era — no easy task, but exactly the kind of challenge we love.
Kelly-Fradet’s design team handled the cabinet design and materials, while Lagace Construction managed all installation and remodeling work. The result is a kitchen that feels both timeless and fresh.
What went into it:
- Cabinets: Fabuwood Nexus Frost — clean white shaker style that brightens the space without overpowering the home’s original character
- Perimeter countertops: Pental Misterio Quartz — a soft, veined stone look that adds warmth
- Peninsula countertop: Black Pearl Leathered granite — a bold contrast piece that anchors the island and adds texture
- Hardware: Berenson Tailored Traditional Collection in Modern Brushed Gold — the finishing touch that ties classic and contemporary together
